What priorities are you putting first in your life?

We all go through spells in our lives where we feel entitled; we look around and think why it is not happening for us! 

“I work harder and eat better than that person and yet they look better than I do!”

“I do better at my job, out working everyone around me and still others rise to a position beyond where I am today.” 

We get caught in the noise of our own pride, losing sight of the path.

So today, I’m here asking you to refocus.  Put away all the noise of life for a few moments and answer some simple questions.

What are YOUR goals? 

Set specific goals and set them in three areas to make sure you are getting to your goal.  Below are set for when it comes to health and fitness, but these can apply to all areas of life.

  1. What’s your Big Picture? -  What is the ultimate thing you are trying to obtain?  For example, it may be that you want to lose 50lbs.  This will be the ultimate goal and what will be the driving force for the other goals that you lay out.
  2. What’s your Process? -  What are small goals you can layout to hit these goals?  Example:  Going to the gym four days a week.  Sticking to your meal plan 95% of the time.  Tracking your food for every meal. 
  3. Milestones and Dates - How do you eat an elephant?  This is the same way you should approach these large goals! One bite or one step at a time.  If your goal was to lose 2lbs per week then your six week goal would be to be down 12lbs. Write it down and circle it in red on the calendar.  Improving your numbers in your lifts is perhaps one of the best measurements. For example, improve your squat by 30lbs in the next 2 months or hit a new personal best on your deadlift.

What are YOU doing to reach those goals?  Be honest with yourself!  Right them down and refocus on a regular basis, have others help hold you accountable and keep moving forward, even after you get knocked down.

Just a small shift in mindset and unwavering persistence to find a way to get towards your path can make all the difference in the world.

Believe in yourself and get to work in this moment, don't put it off till tomorrow!
