If you are looking for a new way to spice up your usual tuna salad, here is a quick and easy recipe that will surely do the trick.  If you are not a fan of tuna you can substitute shredded chicken or even crab meat.

Tuna Salad in Avocado Halves

  • Tuna - 1 can
  • Avocado - 1 large; cut in half pit removed
  • Cilantro - 2 Tablespoons
  • Green Onion - 1 Tablespoon
  • Lime - Juice of 1; 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • Plain Greek Yogurt or Mayonnaise - 1 Tablespoon
  • Cayenne Pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Sea Salt and Fresh Ground Pepper to Taste

Stir green onions, Greek yogurt or mayonnaise, cilantro, limejuice, cayenne pepper and lime zest in medium bowl to blend. Gently mix in tuna. Season with salt and pepper as desired.  Arrange avocado halves, cut side up and mound tuna salad on each avocado half.
